Let your horse benefit from acupressure, an ancient treatment for relaxation, recovery and pain relief. Accuhorsemat® is designed for horses, with three removable acupressure mats at work. An optimal design for the major muscle groups and meridians, triggering some 11,000 pressure points.
Use Accuhorsemat before training to make your horse calm, relaxed and ready for work. Or after training and competition for faster recovery and relaxation.
You can also use it at the stable, before and/or after transport or anywhere you go.
New function for the back!
Many horses suffer from sore back muscles. To remedy this, we added velcro on both sides along the spine on the Accuhorsemat blanket. Use the smaller acupressure mats along this area when needed. Your horse will enjoy increased blood circulation to ease sore long back muscles – longissimus dorsi. This has been a wish from many horse owners as well as equitherapists that use Accuhorsemat as part of their treatment. We´re happy to announce that an improved back relaxation is now included. Enjoy the new flexibility. All for the love of every horse.
How it Works
Acupressure is similar to acupuncture, but instead of needles, acupressure uses pressure to stimulate the acupuncture points and meridians. It increases blood flow, relaxes muscles and releases endorphins so called 'happy hormones'.
Use Accuhorsemat before training to make your horse calm, relaxed and ready for work. Or after training and competition for faster recovery and relaxation.
Important!
The acupressure pads are removable and can be detached so as not to be too close to individual horses’ sensitive areas, such as the hip and the croup. Make sure to feel with your hand that the acupressure pads are at the right place and not too close to the sensitive areas.
Do not forget that if your horse has any visual wounds, rashes or similarities, that are placed on places where the acupressure mats are, do not use the Accuhorsemat® before they are healed.
If your horse is under medical treatment, we recommend that you consult your veterinarian before using Accuhorsemat during that period.
Accuhorsemat AB does not take any responsibility for the horse’s reaction or the owner’s actions when using the Accuhorsemat®.

The Thermography study show amazing results
To find out what happens in the horses body, we conducted a thermography study with infrared imaging. The infrared camera is highly sensitive to changes in temperature. And the results were striking.
It´s clearly visible that placing the acupressure mats on vital areas of the horse's body is sufficient as the effect of increased blood flow will spread through the whole body of the horse.
The study was done in collaboration with Tomas Cernansky from Animal Infrared Imaging, Portland, Oregon, USA and Dr Peter Leando,Veterinarian, President of the American College of Clinical Thermography (ACCT) and Managing Director of Meditherm Inc, Florida,USA.
Dr Cierra Dedeker, Veterinarian at Peak Performance Equine, PLLC,Oregon, USA, uses Accuhorsmat herself, comments on the report:
'Accuhorsemat works from a prevention, maintenance and treatment standpoint, and is an exciting tool to integrate into a performance horse's routine before and after tacking up. Adequate warm up of the major muscle groups for any athlete is essential to performance'.
